On September 9, 2016, the Miami Finance Forum lost its Chairman Raul Valdes-Fauli, III. Raul was a wonderful person, a charismatic leader, a successful colleague, a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. He came from a prominent Cuban-American family and was well-known and liked in the community. As President and CEO of Professional Bank, he was a consummate professional and a respected business leader. In addition to his business acumen, he was an accomplished painter and huge Boston Red Sox fan.
Raul was a Board member and frequent speaker at the Miami Finance Forum’s events for many years. He was elected Chairman in 2015 and did an excellent job leading the MFF during the past couple of years—the most successful period in the Forum’s history. During his tenure, he elevated the Forum to a new level of achievement and left a lasting impression on the Forum’s history. Among his accomplishments, he co-led the effort to obtain a major grant from the Knight Foundation for a series of events focused on entrepreneurship and early stage investment in Miami.
Raul, thank you for efforts and contribution to the Miami Finance Forum. We will miss you more than words can say.
The Miami Finance Forum is rescheduling its Annual Signature Event to the Spring of 2017 with location and date TBD. Join us then in honoring our past Chairman and friend Raul.
