Meet us at Books and Books for the Networking session and a glass of wine, 6-8pm. At 8pm meet an Australian business author Alex Malley as he presents his book The Naked CEO.

ALEX MALLEY, THE NAKED CEO, Author and TV Personality Speaks as CEO of CPA Australia, LinkedIn Influencer, and Global Mentor

By day, Malley is the busy CEO of CPA Australia, responsible for 19 offices globally with stakeholders in 121 countries. Malley is also a well-known media personality down under, both as host of “The Bottom Line” television interview series on the top rating Nine Network Australia and as a regular morning show news commentator. On “The Bottom Line,” Malley conducts intimate interviews with business leaders and entertainers ranging from celebrity chef Curtis Stone and author Lord Jeffrey Archer to Dow Chemical chief Andrew Liveris.

In 2012, Malley secured Neil Armstrong’s final interview, the most in-depth ever filmed with the all-time American hero.

His persona as “The Naked CEO” began as an extension of his personal commitment to mentoring young people. An award-winning, 20-year university professor, Malley combines his candid, real-life stories with practical career mentoring to help people navigate their career and life. Whether in his LinkedIn Influencer series, his blog on Huffington Post or in one of more than 1,100 personal video replies on thenakedceo.com to career questions, Malley shoots straight about business, corporate politics, and life. His website, from an initial launch in Australia has quickly grown to more than 2.2 million visitors.

Malley’s new book, “The Naked CEO – The Truth You Need to Build a Big Life,” is being released this month in the U.S. The book is an engaging “how to” guide for students seeking their first jobs, professionals navigating their first workplaces or looking for a change of direction, and managers who hire them.

Malley will be promoting the book in early 2015 with a college speaking tour and other appearances, particularly in Los Angeles, New York City and Miami.

About The Book

From suspended schoolboy to disruptive CEO, Alex Malley has led a life rich in success and mistakes. Through it all he has learned a lot about what it takes to successfully build not only a big career, but also a big life — the secrets of which he shares in his new book for aspiring leaders and executives who are looking to improve their leadership.

In “The Naked CEO,” Alex combines his candid, real-life stories with practical mentoring advice and career guidance to help people navigate their professional and personal lives. From growing up with a mother who suffered from clinical depression, to his career misadventures and leadership insights learned the hard way, Alex leaves nothing off the table in his quest to help young professionals, students, managers, executives, people in workplace transition, and jobseekers.

“Mentoring students and professionals has been an important part of my life for many years. Through this book, I want to challenge future leaders all over the world to have the courage to throw themselves into experiences and test what they’re capable of to lead a big and successful life,” said Malley.

“I’ve shared many of my experiences, the good and the bad, in the hope that readers will gain some insights to help guide them on their own career and life journey.”
