Robert Villanueva, U.S. Secret Service, Miami Electronic Crimes Task Force, Transnational Cybercrime Section

First of all, Mr. Villanueva is a Miami native and was raised in South Florida.

He has been with the United States Secret Service for 25 years and has been assigned to various offices throughout the world as a field agent/operative and a supervisor; to include Miami and Headquarters in Washington DC.

Mr. Villanueva has also served in both an investigative and undercover capacity in various countries around the globe in North/South America, Eastern/Western Europe and Asia.

While in Washington DC, Mr. Villanueva was a supervisor at the Dignitary Protection Division and was the founder of the U.S. Secret Service’s Cyber Intelligence Section which coordinated Global Cyber Operations.

Throughout his time in Washington DC, he briefed various high level members of the U.S. Government regarding the threat of Financial Cybercrime that originated from the Eastern European region of the world.

Presently, Mr. Villanueva is the Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge at the Miami Field Office and specializes in Transnational Cybercrimes, Access Device Fraud, Network Intrusions and Identity Theft Data Breaches.

Mr. Villanueva also heads the U.S. Secret Service’s Miami Electronic Crimes Task Force (MECTF) which has over 821 members from the South Florida Private Sector, Academia and Local/Federal Law Enforcement communities.

Mr. Villanueva has received numerous awards to include the U.S. Secret Service Director’s Distinguished Service Award and the International Association of Financial Crime Investigator’s Global Cyber Investigator of the Year.  Lastly, ATSAIC Villanueva presently serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors of various organizations to include FIU, FISA, FIBA and the IAFCI.

Ben Johnson is co-founder and chief security strategist for Carbon Black. In that role, he uses his experience as a cofounder and chief technology officer for Carbon Black, which merged with Bit9 in February 2014, to drive the company’s message to customers, partners, the news media and industry analysts. Johnson, who was directly responsible for the powerful functionality of the Carbon Black endpoint threat detection and response (ETDR) solution, has extensive experience building complex systems for environments where speed and reliability are paramount. His background also includes a great deal of technical “agility,” having worked on advanced operational teams supporting U.S. national security missions and writing complex calculation engines for the financial sector.

Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University.

In 2011, Jacobs Private Equity acquired majority control of XPO Logistics (NYSE:XPO) with a $150 million equity investment. Eli previously served as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, and was elected Associate Partner in 2009. Eli holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School, and a B.Sc. in computer science.
