Mr. Deupi was a corporate and securities lawyer with 25+ years of AmLaw 100 legal experience working for major US law firms. He was the founder and Managing Partner of the Deupi Law Group, advising on general corporate, financing, commercial, transactional and compliance matters.
He represented numerous multinational corporations, financial institutions, private equity funds and real estate firms in a variety of functions including M&A, fund formation, investments, financings, workouts, dispositions with several billion dollars in transaction value. He also had significant experience in structuring real estate, hospitality and infrastructure transactions including investments, financing, property acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, construction and development.
Mr. Deupi was Chairman Emeritus of the Miami Finance Forum and continues as a Member of the Board of Directors, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. He was a member of several committees and sections of the American Bar Association and a member of the International Law Section (ILS) of the Florida Bar. He is a frequent speaker at finance and investment conferences.
He was been AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell since 2000, the highest possible ranking from this renowned firm. In 2011, Mr. Deupi was selected as an honoree for the South Florida Business Journal’s Key Partners Awards, a distinction for lawyers in South Florida who have provided the highest quality of service with the highest levels of professionalism and ethics.
Mr. Deupi received a BS in Economic from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania in 1985. He graduated from Boston College Law School in 1988, where he was Articles and Citations Editor of the Boston College Third World International Law Journal. He was been admitted to practice law in New York, California, the District of Columbia and Florida.
